The Nordic AutoFeed is an automatic, weight-based hay feeder designed to mimic natural grazing patterns by delivering small, frequent meals throughout the day and night. Ideal for performance horses, hard keepers, metabolic horses, and anxious eaters, the AutoFeed takes the guesswork and stress out of feeding.
How It Works
Simply set your feeding schedule using the intuitive control panel. Choose:
First feed time (e.g., 5:00 AM)
Last feed time (e.g., 11:00 PM)
Number of feeds per day (up to 12)
Hay amount per day (in pounds)
The AutoFeed automatically calculates evenly spaced intervals. For example:
5 AM, 8 AM, 11 AM, 2 PM, 5 PM, 8 PM, and 11 PM.
At each interval, the non-pinch feed door slides open, allowing your horse to eat from a natural head position. Once the allocated weight of hay has been eaten, the door closes until the next feeding cycle.
The feeder holds a full 2- or 3-string square bale (~70 lb) and typically only needs to be refilled every 2–3 days depending on your schedule.
